A major product resulting from this project is three State of Knowledge documents. There will be one for each of the three key nearshore habitats: salt marsh, eelgrass, and kelp.
During the second year of the project, expert authors have been reviewing the literature, interviewing practitioners and academics, and writing to create an informative and comprehensive reference for each key nearshore salmon habitat. These documents, which focus on the last decade of work, will feature subjects such as stressors driving distribution, restoration techniques, and strategic habitat protection, as well as an overview of the value of these habitats, and recommendations for the future in the face of climate change.
The State of Knowledge documents will be made available in 2026.
